MCYJ held its first in-person Gala in over three years on May 5, 2022. Speakers, including Michigan Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Clement and Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit, highlighted the importance of Building Community for Change, the evening’s theme. MCYJ’s Youth Justice Champion honoree, Charisse, also spoke. The Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit’s performances were profoundly moving.
